About Us » Administration

Welcome to Monrovia Elementary! This will be my eighth year at MES, and I have enjoyed working with the staff, students, and the community. I am starting my 23rd year in education. This is my tenth year in Madison County.

I am married to Darrell Long. We have three boys. Logan is a freshman at the University of Alabama. Webber is a sophomore at Athens High School, and Hopkins is in the eighth grade at Athens Middle School.

My family has two pets, Cody and Rosie. Cody is a Shih tzu, and Rosie is a Morkie. They keep us on our toes.

My husband, boys, and I are avid sports fans. My boys play football and basketball for their school teams. Being a graduate from the University of Alabama, I proudly yell “Roll Tide!”

I am excited for this school year!  Please let me know if I can be of any assistance.
